Rotor Coatings
XMY offers several coating options for corrosion protection that are engineered to extend service life and durability.
Corrosion Protection
XMY has several anti-corrosion finishes available that provide varying levels of rust protection.
PPG Paint Hat & Edge
PPG Paint Hat & Edge is a specialized coating by PPG Industries. It’s used mainly on the hat and edges of the brake rotor to prevent rust on non-friction surfaces.
- Great corrosion resistance.
- Enhances brake component appearance.
- Prolongs part lifespan.

Geomet® 360
Geomet is a water-based coating solution that contains zinc and aluminum flakes. The application results in a silver, matte finish offering protection against corrosion.
- Superior rust protection.
- Withstands high temperatures.
- Provides consistent frictional properties.
Tamex
Tamex is known for its high resistance to chipping and abrasion, forming a protective layer on brake components against corrosion and wear.
- Resists abrasion.
- Protects against contaminants.
- Extends brake component lifespan.

Zinc Plating
Zinc plating involves electro-deposition where a thin layer of zinc is applied to brake components. This enhances appearance and provides a sacrificial layer against corrosion.
- Excellent corrosion resistance.
- Enhances aesthetic appeal.
- Provides a protective sacrificial layer.
E-Coating
E-Coating, or electrocoating, immerses brake components in a water-based solution containing paint particles. An electric current causes the paint particles to adhere, forming a uniform protective layer.
- Uniform coating thickness.
- Complete coverage, even in hard-to-reach areas.
- Excellent rust resistance.
